Challenge

Engie, a multinational company which operates in the fields of electricity, natural gas, nuclear, renewable energy, and petroleum, faced a significant challenge in enabling non-technical employees to create customized dashboards for internal usage. Traditional methods, often involving Python scripting, were time-consuming, required technical expertise, and lacked standardized security measures.

Solution

Velvet Lab developed a low-code platform specifically tailored to address Engie's needs. This platform empowered non-technical users to design and build visually appealing, company-branded financial dashboards without the need for extensive coding.

The platform leveraged Plotly Dash as the foundation for building interactive and dynamic dashboards. Velvet Lab developed custom Dash components based on Engie's design guidelines and an authentication system to ensure secure access via company OAuth2 credentials, finally we created a GitHub template to bootstrap new dashboards in no-time.
